A room full of Spartans, name tags and handshakes signaled a familiar tradition at the Michigan State University College of Engineering: The Dean’s Showcase of Stars. The annual event recognizes engineering students for outstanding academic achievement and involvement in campus and community initiatives.
This year’s event took place Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 3-5 p.m. at the AC Hotel, honoring 118 students through scholarships and recognitions supported by corporate partners, alumni and college Inclusive Excellence programming.
A key supporter this year was The Consumers Energy Foundation, which approved a $15,000 grant to support the College of Engineering’s Dean’s Showcase of Stars Scholarship Program.
Following the awards, students had opportunities to connect with sponsors and learn more about potential career paths, internships and full-time roles beyond a traditional career fair setting.
