As we enjoy our winter break and countdown to the New Year, we'd also like to take the time to celebrate our accomplishments over the past year. Thank you to all who have supported the College of Engineering and added to the impact of our achievements!

Spartan Engineers from near and far will come together on Michigan State University's annual day of giving to support engineering students on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Two leaders in the College of Engineering are both assuming full-time roles for the interim positions they have held since February. Engineering Dean Leo Kempel announced that Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies (UGS) Amanda Idema will assume responsibility for Undergraduate Studies within the Dean's office and Neeraj Buch, interim chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), has been named CEE chair.

Michigan State University President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., M.D., announced Sept. 30 that Executive Vice President Satish Udpa is resigning from his administrative position and returning to lab and research work at the university.

MSU Engineering honored former dean and current MSU Executive Vice President for Administration Satish Udpa with a portrait unveiling ceremony on Aug. 29.
