Showcase of Stars hands out $115,000 in scholarships
The Michigan State University College of Engineering awarded $115,000 in scholarships during the 2023 Dean’s Showcase of Stars on March 21. This year’s event included 180 students and corporate guests. It was hosted in the MSUFCU Club on the fourth floor of Spartan Stadium.
Eight faculty honored for distinguished service to students
Spartan Engineering students in the MSU College of Engineering have again nominated their favorite faculty members for the highly prized annual Withrow Teaching Excellence Awards. The teaching distinction is for distinguished service to the university and the student body.

New fund to benefit mechanical engineering
The devotion of a sister to her brother’s last wish has established a new engineering scholarship at Michigan State University. The Steven James Church Mechanical Engineering Endowed Fund will benefit those interested in careers in mechanical engineering, said his sister Anne Marie Church, who lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
