Mechanical engineer Trey Pfeiffer honored for scholastic achievement as he graduates from MSU 

Mechanical Engineering graduate Trey Pfeiffer had a big weekend, Dec. 15-16.

On Friday, he was one of 11 Spartans honored with a Board of Trustees Award for having the highest scholastic average at the close of their last semester at MSU - a 4.0 GPA. 

On Saturday, Pfeiffer carried the Engineering banner during afternoon commencement ceremonies in the Breslin. The college had almost 340 graduates among MSU's 2,700 graduates this weekend. 

Pfeiffer is from Otsego. He is a member of the Honors College. He has accepted an R&D job at Stryker in Portage.

Board of Trustee Award for Lucas Wolfe
Also honored with a Board of Trustees Award on Friday was Lucas Wolfe of Mason.

Wolfe was one of 11 recognized by the MSU Board of Trustees for having the highest scholastic average at the close of their last semester at MSU - a 4.0 GPA.

Wolfe interned and served as an undergraduate research assistant in MSU's Smart Microsystems Lab, working on 3D printing of shape memory polymers, wave energy-harvesting, and underwater robotics. Lucas graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering on Saturday.

He is a member of the Honors College and also a graduate of Mason High School.
