Thassyo Pinto will be honored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) this fall when it presents the 2019 Larry K. Wilson Award to him for extraordinary accomplishments in student activities.

A PhD student in electrical and computer engineering, he was a leader for MSU's Humanitarian Technology Day in 2017, and currently chairs MSU's student chapter of Robotics in Automation Society and is advisor to the STARX exoskeleton robotics team.
He will be recognized during IEEE ceremonies in October in South Dakota. IEEE is the world's largest technology professional organization.
He is from Brazil.
