Jinxing Li's biomanufacturing team helps building materials go green, repair themselves

A Michigan State University-led team that includes a College of Engineering assistant professor believes in a construction industry future that includes low-cost, self-healing and sustainable materials.

One of the leaders in this research is Jinxing Li, a Department of Biomedical Engineering assistant professor.
Li is also a leader for MSU's Institute for Quantitative Health Science & Engineering.
Li joined MSU as part of the university’s Global Impact Initiative from Stanford University. He did his postdoctoral research at Stanford on engineering soft materials to make miniaturized devices for biomolecular sensing, neuromodulation and adaptive locomotion.
