Woongkul “Matt” Lee, Zhaojian Li, Xiaobo Tan receive MTRAC awards for bioeconomy research projects

Three Michigan State University College of Engineering faculty members have received awards for their research aimed to improve the bioeconomy.
Each received recognition this fall from the Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization (MTRAC) Program.
The MSU College of Engineering researchers who have received MTRAC grants to support their research:
- Woongkul “Matt” Lee, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Zhaojian Li, Mechanical Engineering/Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Xiaobo Tan, Mechanical Engineering/Electrical and Computer Engineering
MTRAC is a program funded by the Michigan Strategic Fund and Michigan Economic Development Corporation to support in-state institutions like MSU that are creating and transferring new technologies to commercial markets.
