Eight Engineering graduates receive Board of Trustees’ Award

Spartan Engineers honored for academic excellence, 4.0 GPA

Eight College of Engineering students accomplished what many aspire to achieve – a perfect GPA. They are among the 62 Michigan State University graduates who have been awarded the coveted Board of Trustees’ Award this semester.

 

The MSU Board of Trustees honored the group of graduating seniors on Dec. 15 and recognized their achievement of the highest scholastic average one can receive, a 4.0 GPA.

 

In addition to being recognized by the Board of Trustees, students were acknowledged during their individual commencement ceremonies on Dec. 15-16. They also will receive $1,000 from the university for their accomplishments.

The College of Engineering students honored for this achievement include:

· Grant B. Carr, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is from Fenton, Michigan, and attended Fenton High School.

· Britani H. Goren, who earned a bachelor’s in environmental engineering from the College of Engineering, is from Haslett, Michigan, and attended Holt High School.

· Ravdeep S. Grewa, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is an honor student from Okemos, Michigan, and attended Okemos High School.

· Nathan J. Gu, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is from Canton, Michigan, and attended Salem High School.

· Nathan D. Kowalski, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and computer science from the College of Engineering, is an honor student from Mount Prospect, Illinois, and attended Prospect High School.

· Miranda L. Pelton, who earned a bachelor’s in applied engineering sciences from the College of Engineering, is from Clarkston, Michigan, and attended Clarkston Senior High School.

· Rami W. Souguir, who earned a bachelor’s in applied engineering sciences from the College of Engineering, is from Ann Arbor, Michigan, and attended Pioneer High School.

· Aidan T. Svoboda, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, is from Austin, Texas, and attended James Bowie High School.
