35 Engineering graduates receive Board of Trustees’ Award

Spartan Engineers honored for academic excellence, 4.0 GPA

Thirty-five College of Engineering students accomplished what many aspire to achieve – a perfect GPA. They are among the 272 Michigan State University graduates who have been awarded the coveted Board of Trustees’ Award this semester.

The MSU Board of Trustees honored the group of graduating seniors on April 12 and recognized their achievement of the highest scholastic average one can receive, a 4.0 GPA.

In addition to being recognized by the Board of Trustees, students will be acknowledged during their individual spring commencement ceremonies. They also will receive $1,000 from the university for their accomplishments.

The College of Engineering students honored for this achievement include:

Jenni M. Aubin, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Johnston, Rhode Island

Ajuisiwon Azantilow, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from East Lansing, Michigan.

Theodore Belecciu, who earned a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Dexter, Michigan.

Brendan G. Bushbaker, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering and is from Armada, Michigan.

Kevin Cawley, who earned a bachelor’s in computer engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Flossmoor, Illinois.

Colin P. Davidson, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Canton, Michigan.

David M. Evans, who earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Nicholas C. Fedewa, who earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Byron Center, Michigan.

James M. Fordyce, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering and is from Petoskey, Michigan.

Nicole Gibbons, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering and is from Lansing, Michigan.

Benjamin P. Griffith, who earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Justin R. Hamlin, who earned a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Portage, Michigan.

Evan K. Hampel, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Clarkston, Michigan.

Eli C. Hilborn, who earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the College of Engineering and in music performance from the College of Music, is a member of the Honors College from Imlay City, Michigan.

Kara M. Kieras, who earned a bachelor’s in applied engineering sciences from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Edison X. Lewis, who earned a bachelor’s in materials science and engineering from the College of Engineering and in Chinese from the College of Arts and Letters, is a member of the Honors College from Southbury, Connecticut.

Felix T. Liang, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering and is from Troy, Michigan.

Aaron C. Masacek, who earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Amjad M. Mashmoushi, who earned a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Bsaba, Lebanon.

Andrew J. Nolan, who earned a bachelor’s in applied engineering sciences from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Oxford, Michigan.

Vedi V. Patel, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Canton, Michigan.

Lillia A. Patrick, who earned a bachelor’s in environmental engineering from the College of Engineering and is from Troy, Michigan.

Olivia J. Pauls, who earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the College of Engineering and is from Stevensville, Michigan.

Lauren E. Petrie, who earned a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering and is from Lansing, Michigan.

Pramod Prahlada, who earned a bachelor’s in computer engineering from the College of Engineering and is from Novi, Michigan.

Sara E. Purdue, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Newburgh, Indiana.

Mason M. Razz, who earned a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering and is from New Baltimore, Michigan.

Juan C. Sabogal Olarte, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Chia, Columbia.

Nikita V. Shetti, who earned a bachelor’s in applied engineering sciences from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Rochester Hills, Michigan.

Matthew E. Skulski, who earned a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Lancaster, New York.

Jack A. Sleeman, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Pinckney, Michigan.

Gabriel C. Sotelo Justo, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Arequipa, Peru.

Liliana P. Valkner, who earned a bachelor’s in biosystems engineering from the College of Engineering and is a member of the Honors College from Empire, Michigan.

Matthew S. Whyte, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Novi, Michigan.

Nicole Williams, who earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the College of Engineering, is a member of the Honors College from Western Springs, Illinois.
