GEM Fellowship

GEM Fellowship

The GEM Fellowship programs are designed to offer opportunities for underrepresented minority students to obtain M.S. degrees in engineering and Ph.D. degrees in engineering and the natural and physical sciences through a program of paid summer internships and graduate financial assistance.

For over 25 years, our companies and universities have worked together providing graduate education in engineering and science to over 2,140 underrepresented minority students. GEM is a unique network of universities, companies, government agencies, alumni and faculty. Through this collaboration, the success of students attaining graduate degrees is maximized.
The Quality Education for Minorities (QEM) Network awarded GEM their 2001 Exemplary Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Partnership Award for GEM’s successful contribution to the achievements of minorities.
