Safer autonomous vehicles
If every road was straight and the weather always sunny and warm, self-driving—or autonomous—vehicles would have little trouble getting from point A to point B.
ECE endowed fellowship
A Minnesota couple known for helping students cultivate an interest in math and science has committed $750,000 to support graduate students in electrical and computer engineering at Michigan State University.
International first place
Spartan Engineers from Michigan State University sounded the channel and won the "foxhunt" at the 2018 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Symposium Student Design Competition at 2018 AP-S in Boston, July 8-13.
SMART Scholarships
Two Spartan Engineers have been awarded a highly selective scholarship under the Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation Scholarship-for-Service Program (SMART). SMART was established by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing technical degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines.
John Verboncoeur
ohn Verboncoeur of Michigan State University will receive the Richard F. Shea Distinguished Member Award from the Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) during ceremonies in June. Only one award is presented internationally each year.
Shanelle Foster named finalist in Naval Research Concept Challenge
