MSU Engineering hosted a Tech Talk on Feb. 7 in New York City, adjacent to the One World Trade Center.
The event gave alumni and guests an opportunity to meet some of MSU's Best & Brightest, including Associate Professor Richard Lunt, who shared details on his research on solar energy production and utilization.
Lunt's innovative research has led to the development of the world's first truly transparent solar technology with potential applications in a wide range of products as an invisible, onboard source of electricity.
Lunt is the Johansen Crosby Endowed Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. He has received a number of awards in recent years, including an Ovshinsky Sustainable Energy Fellowship, a national prize from the American Physical Society (APS) to support research in energy sustainability.
Dan McNulty, a 1982 engineering arts graduate, hosted the gathering, which included Donnie Haye ("81), chairperson of the College's Alumni Board.
