Women and Minorities lecture series

MSU lecture on Feb. 5 to focus on diversity and inclusion in STEM

Julie Martin, the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Women and Minorities in Science and Engineering, will be the featured speaker on Wednesday, Feb. 5, during the Women and Minorities in Science lecture series at Michigan State University.

Martin is an associate professor of engineering and science education at Ohio State University.

She will address "Deconstructing Deficit Thinking for Underrepresented Students in Science and Engineering." The event begins at 4:10 p.m. in the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) in lecture hall 1200.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
