Michigan State University College of Engineering Dean Leo Kempel discusses the future of engineering in a Michigan Economic Development Corporation podcast known for its candid discussions with academic and business leaders.

In addition to being the college's dean, Kempel is also the Dennis P. Nyquist Endowed Professor of Electromagnets.
Kempel is the ninth dean of the college and recently traveled to Taiwan with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's delegation to secure investments in key industries like automotive, semiconductors, renewable energy and advanced manufacturing.
Committed to preparing Spartan Engineers for the jobs of the future, Kempel worte a column last fall in Crain's Detroit Business that stressed the importance of MSU's investments in electric vehicle and semiconductor research.
