The College of Engineering Technology Engineering (TechE) program was featured on the MSUToday podcast with Russ White on July 9. Janet Brelin-Fornari, Ph.D., Technology Engineering program director, and Industry Advisory Board members Heather Dashner, '95 engineering arts, global industrial engineering manager at Ford Motor Co., and David Sanders, '82 mechanical engineering, general manager of General Motors Strategic Partnership at Microsoft, explained the program and the value that its graduates will bring to industry.
TechE, the college’s newest bachelor of science degree program, was developed from the ground up with extensive input from industry. It blends mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering with computer science to prepare students for modern engineering challenges in a multidisciplinary, interconnected world. Students choose from concentrations in mechatronics and embedded cybersecurity or a smart agricultural systems minor.
Listen to the podcast learn more about the TechE program and how it will benefit industry in Michigan and beyond.
