Biomechanics Group

ME Research hand

Our biomechanics research group covers a wide range of topics that intersects medicine, physiology, biology and mechanics. The research areas, which are inter-disciplinary, include cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and neuro-mechanics; hemodynamics; neuromodulation; injury mechanics and thermal biology. Besides fundamental research in these areas, our program also includes translational research, which includes the analysis, design and development of biomedical devices, such as prosthetics and left ventricular assist devices.
