Dr. Junlin Yuan developed large-scale, high-fidelity numerical simulation methods of complex turbulent shear flows. The research goal is to push the boundaries of physical understandings of complex, realistic turbulence, and to develop physics-based data-driven models for a wide range of applications. Topics include non-equilibrium turbulence, wall roughness, wall permeability, turbulence-induced noise, and fluid-structure interaction. Applications cover engineering, environmental, and bio-locom
