Each semester, the MSU Board of Trustees recognizes students for earning a 4.0 GPA — the highest scholastic average — at the close of their last semester before graduation.
For the spring 2021 semester, 133 students received the Board of Trustees Award - 18 of them are Spartan Engineers.
The spring 2021 academic achievement award goes to:
- Matthew J. Billette of Auburn, MI. Billette is a chemical engineering major in the College of Engineering. Billette is also a member of the Honors College and attended Bay City Western High School.
- Matthew R. Chiavetta of Orchard Park, NY. Chiavetta is a civil engineering major in the College of Engineering. Chiavetta is also a member of the Honors College and attended Orchard Park High School.
- Matthew W. Chymyck of Holt, MI. Chymyck is a chemical engineering major in the College of Engineering. Chymyck is also a member of the Honors College and attended Okemos High School.
- Emma F. Dester of Saline, MI. Dester is a biosystems engineering major in the College of Engineering. Dester is also a member of the Honors College and attended Saline High School.
- Aidan M. Fox of South Barrington, IL. Fox is an applied engineering sciences major in the College of Engineering. Fox is also a member of the Honors College and attended Barrington Community High School.
- Kole A. Gilbert of Clarkston, MI. Gilbert is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. Gilbert attended Clarkston Senior High School.
- Lindsay A. Guare of Deerfield, IL. Guare is majoring in computer science in the College of Engineering as well as biochemistry and molecular biology in the College of Natural Science. Guare is also a member of the Honors College and attended Deerfield High School.
- Robert J. Gustke of Bridgeport, NY. Gustke is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. Gustke is also a member of the Honors College and was homeschooled.
- Aleah J. Hahn of West Olive, MI. Hahn is a biosystems engineering major in the College of Engineering. Hahn is also a member of the Honors College and attended West Ottawa High School.
- Nathan R. Holloway of Novi, MI. Holloway is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. Holloway is also a member of the Honors College and attended Northville High School.
- Alexander P. Hughes of Waukegan, IL. Hughes is majoring in materials science and engineering in the College of Engineering as well as Russian in the College of Arts and Letters. Hughes is also a member of the Honors College and attended Illinois Math and Science Academy.
- Gabriella A. Kelsch Bledsoe of Lees Summit, MO. Kelsch Bledsoe is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. She is also a member of the Honors College and attended Blue Springs South High School.
- Ethan J. Lau of Mission Viejo, CA. Lau is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. Lau is also a member of the Honors College and attended El Toro High School.
- Aurora I. Mlsna of Marquette, MI. Mlsna is an environmental engineering major in the College of Engineering. Mlsa is also a member of the Honors College and attended Marquette Senior High School.
- Spencer Novick of Bloomfield Hills, MI. Novick is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. Novick is also a member of the Honors College and attended Bloomfield Hills High School.
