The American Society for Biomechanics (ASB) has inducted Tamara Reid Bush, associate dean for inclusion and diversity and professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University, as a 2025 Fellow.

Michigan State University researcher Zhaojian Li has received the 2025 Outstanding Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Dynamic Systems Controls Division (DSCD) for his expertise in learning and control of robot systems, including using robots to harvest fruit.

Kevin M. Guskiewicz began his tenure as Michigan State University’s 22nd president on Monday, March 4, by honoring and celebrating the accomplishments of some of the university’s most outstanding faculty at the 2024 MSU Investiture for Endowed Faculty.

Minami Yoda, a Ring Family Professor in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech, has been named chairperson of the Michigan State University Department of Mechanical Engineering. She will join MSU on Nov. 1, 2023.
