Biography

Rebecca Linton is the Administrative Business Manager for the Department of Computational Mathematics, Science, and Engineering. She oversees the unit's operations, finances, budget, and support staff including the Graduate and Undergraduate Coordinators, Fiscal Officer, and Human Resources. Rebecca also manages the department's relations with its joint administrative units alongside the department chairperson. In her role, she also assists with facilities management, including long-term planning, project management, and regulatory compliance.

Rebecca brings over 17 years of experience in healthcare administration and management to her role at MSU, with a strong background in financial operations, organizational leadership, and process improvement. She earned her Executive MBA from Michigan State University, where she focused on strategy, entrepreneurship, and international business, further strengthening her expertise in academic administration and institutional leadership.

In her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her two children, her dog and chickens, cooking, gardening, reading, and running long distance races, such as the Mackinac Island 8.2 and The Flint Crim road races. Rebecca hopes to one day fulfill her dream of becoming a Master Gardener via MSU Extension.
