Nejadhashemi recognized for pioneering work in water resources

A water resources expert at Michigan State University received the 2024 American Water Resources Association (AWRA) Honorary Member Award

Pouyan Nejadhashemi was elected to the prestigious honorary position for his “acknowledged eminence in a branch of water resources science and technology.”

Nejadhashemi is an MSU Research Foundation Professor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering and the Department of Plant, Soil, and Microbial Sciences.

He is a globally recognized researcher who is directing a multidisciplinary team that is pioneering an ecosystem-centric approach to resolving water resource challenges. He is an author of over 150 peer-reviewed articles, has held board positions in several top journals, and delivered more than 200 presentations at conferences worldwide.

AWRA is the primary multidisciplinary association for information exchange, professional development, and education about water resources and related issues.
