Over $140,000 awarded during Dean’s Showcase of Stars

Outstanding student achievements recognized by College of Engineering, corporate sponsors, and alumni

The Michigan State University College of Engineering, corporate scholarship sponsors and alumni recognized 160 students for their academic and participation achievements during this year’s Dean’s Showcase of Stars. More than $140,000 in scholarships were presented to students at the annual event.

Scholarship awards ranged from $700 to $5,000.

Following the scholarship ceremony, students networked with officials from the numerous corporate sponsors.

“It was so exciting to celebrate the successes of our Engineering Inclusion and Diversity students,” said Elizabeth Burbatt, director of First-generation Student Initiatives in the College of Engineering. “Our students are excelling in academics, leadership, and service; many of the students who received awards are balancing school and involvement in various student organizations, co-ops and internships.”
