Michigan State University's College of Engineering and longtime partner Fraunhofer USA were highlighted in two feature stories that aired this week on a CBS TV news affiliate station.

WLNS News 6 covered Monday's press conference announcing the Michigan Economic Development Corporation's support to enhance the college's curriculum for semiconductors.

The Lansing-based station then followed up Tuesday with an in-depth look at Fraunhofer's work on campus to create chips made of lab-grown diamonds that can handle information faster than silicon-based chips.

WLNS reporter Nicholas Simon's story entitled "Diamonds: Tech's best friend?" can be viewed on the WLNS website.
