Biography
Amanda Cho is an Academic Specialist in Engineering who focuses on helping students navigate their education journey with clarity and confidence. She earned her bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Grand Valley State University and a master’s in higher, adult, and lifelong education from Michigan State University.
Her career spans hospitality, higher education, and state government—shaping a people-first approach grounded in strong operations. At Michigan State University, she served as an Academic Advisor and Coordinator of New Student Orientation, leading large-scale onboarding programs, advising students throughout their academic journeys, and collaborating across departments to strengthen the student experience. She has also contributed to student engagement efforts at Lansing Community College and held administrative and conference leadership roles at Purdue University. She began her career in hospitality, where she built a foundation in service and a lasting commitment to mentorship and leadership.
Known for connecting people and processes, Amanda brings structure to complex work—keeping teams aligned, expectations clear, and deadlines on track. She values transparent communication, thoughtful support, and results driven through collaboration.
