The College of Engineering helped Michigan State University remain a top producer of Fulbright Scholars – the U.S. government’s premier international academic exchange program – in 2025-26.

MSU maintained its high ranking among colleges and universities for the 11th time in the last 12 years.

Established in 1946, the program provides opportunities for exceptional Americans and participants from 160 countries and locations to study, teach and conduct research abroad, advancing knowledge, science and industry through international exchange and collaboration.

The College of Engineering has had eight Fulbright Scholars in the past 10 years, including its two newest scholars:

Narendra Das, an associate professor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering, is advancing water resource management in Southeast Asia as a Fulbright Scholar. He began his project, “Advancing Agricultural and Water Resource Management in Vietnam through High Resolution SAR Data,” in January.
