Jeffrey Nanzer of Michigan State University has been awarded a highly competitive Director's Fellowship from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Nanzer is the Dennis P. Nyquist assistant professor in MSU's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).

Nuclear physics computing
Three nuclear physics research projects involving Michigan State University researchers have won grants from the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science (DOE-SC). The five-year awards are part of the Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC4) program supported by the DOE-SC Offices of Nuclear Physics and Advanced Scientific Computing Research.
