Biography

Dr. Mehrnaz Ghamami is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Ghamami’s research is focused on transportation systems analysis, with applications in sustainable transportation, transit operations and travel reliability. She has developed a comprehensive modeling framework for analyzing various policy and planning issues related to plugin electric vehicles. She has also conducted research on urban travel reliability using consumer GPS data (funded by Transportation Research Board) and operational reliability of bus routes for Chicago Transit Authority (funded by Center for Commercialization of Innovative Transportation Technology).
