The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) has honored Venkatesh K.R. Kodur of Michigan State University for outstanding career achievements. Kodur, University Distinguished Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and director of MSU’s Center on Structural Fire Engineering and Diagnostics, was elected a Fellow of RSC’s Academy of Sciences.

Mahmood Haq of Michigan State University has been interested in “lightweighting” vehicles since before EVs took off. Haq is the director of the Composite Vehicle Research Center (opens in new window), or CVRC, at MSU, which was established in 2006.
