Mekong Culture WELL Project
A Michigan State University interdisciplinary team of faculty and staff is working to foster environmental justice in Southeast Asia. The Henry Luce Foundation's Initiative on Southeast Asia, or LuceSEA, is providing $1 million in funding to help create the Mekong Culture WELL project.
NDSEG Fellowship: Katherine Skocelas
Katherine Skocelas, a PhD student in the MSU College of Engineering, has been awarded a three-year National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship. She is one of two Spartan Engineers named an NDSEG Fellow this summer.
2020 IAPR Fellow
Xiaoming Liu, professor of computer science and engineering at Michigan State University, has been elected a Fellow of the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR) and will be recognized at the International Conference on Pattern Recognition in Milan, Italy, in January.
