IAPR Fellow
Arun Ross, professor of computer science and engineering at Michigan State University, has been elected a Fellow of the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR). The fellowship will be presented at the 2018 International Conference on Pattern Recognition in Beijing, China, Aug. 20-24.
Peter Savolainen
Peter Savolainen, a transportation engineer who examines road user behavior, has joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University as an MSU Foundation Professor.
Research of "national significance"
A research team, that included three Spartan Engineers at Michigan State University, has been honored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with a 2017 Level 1 Scientific and Technological Achievement Award for exceptionally high-quality research or technological effort.
